I'm glad Prof. Shapira is speaking out now -- but he was awfully quiet when the Israeli gov't essentially forced the entire adult population to become Pfizer guinea pigs.

He half-heartedly endorsed the Pfizer vaccine, and his only criticism was about efficacy:

"The first two shots hit their mark, sort of. I don't think it was an excellent vaccine. It's was effective for four to five months and failed very quickly when mutations began to appear.... When there is a serious medical problem, you should try to attack the cause from different fronts. Here they chose to attack on the same front, with the same vaccine that is simply not suitable for the current variant.”

His real anger was reserved for the Israeli officials who "sabotaged" the development of an Israeli covid vaccine, BriLife, which was his baby. This was why he quit as head of the IIBR in March 2021.

----------

Side-note: The BriLife trials kept running without much publicity until March 2022, and got as far as phase2/3. They seemed to get good results even with the omicron variants. For the medically curious, it was genetically manipulated but NOT mRNA - this short description is from the "No Camels" site:

"Israel’s BriLife vaccine is a self-propagating, live-virus vaccine that uses vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), an animal virus that does not cause disease in humans, and in which the spike protein was replaced with that of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. VSV is also the basis for a separate, effective vaccine against the Ebola virus. The vaccine is based on a previous, FDA-approved vaccine platform that was further optimized by IIBR."

----------

I can't overstate how much it sucks that the Israel gov't didn't wait for our own world-class medical people to develop a real vaccine, which was already halfway there.

But Prof. Shapira is culpable as a top medical authority for not speaking out about the Pfizer injuries... until they hit him personally. In Jan. 2022, when Pfizer head Albert Bourla came here to receive the Genesis Prize for his horrific work, Israelis mobbed the street around his car in Jerusalem yelling, "Criminal -- Criminal!!!" The injuries were well-known among us.

Shapira's criticism at the time? "The Israeli Genesis Award was given to the CEO of Pfizer, so miserable. Instead of giving it to an Israeli scientist. And all this for a mediocre, short-acting vaccine that yielded Pfizer a profit of billions..."

It wasn't until May 14, 2022 that the Professor wrote his first (Hebrew) denunciation of the jab, when he found himself among the injured -- and there he said that he had lost faith in Israeli medical authorities "a year and a half ago". IE, since Dec. 2020. So why was he silent all that time???

I'm truly sorry the Professor is injured. But thousands of other injured Israelis deserve at least an apology from him for saying too little too late.

He should be posting not on Twitter, but on GETTR. Twitter is bot-run crap. Musk exposed them big-time, and if you are paying any attention at all, you won;t go near Twitter.

This inexcusable media /gov’t ban on highly qualified non-narrative scientific views could meet definition of genocide due to foreknowledge of dangers [“deliberate” decision to use] in combination with Gov’t mandates [“deliberate”] and ban on educating public to risks [“deliberate”].

[Genocide: “deliberate” killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group]

Furthermore who gives a lick about twitter? Twitter this and twitter that,

who cares? Idea? Ready? How about ditch twitter/ignore it/ and post

one's opinion in a different venue. That guy is longtime .gov expert?

Maybe he should schedule a press conference instead of tweeter.
