From what I had heard, the vote in Austria was expected to pass - it's definitely sad that it did. That's a really bad sign for Europe and then the US. My hope is that the French government is getting closer and closer to pushing the French people past the breaking point. Surely there are still some guillotines sitting around somewhere. Hopefully there are people there dusting off the cobwebs and polishing them up.

What is your sense of how things are heating up, if they are at all, among the lawyers (usually a vicious and nasty set of money-grubbing, small-souled nasties)? Are they smelling blood and hopefully licking their chops in the hopes of suing the hell out of the people enforcing/implementing these draconian rules? Or are they, like every other major group of professionals, simply useless?
