One detail that aligns with your observation is the way the central banks are being publicly scapegoated and rung out to dry.
In Australia they are already holding a review into their central bank. It's a laughable exercise in political deflection, yes, but its more than that. The review into the RBA also serves to undermine trust and confidence in this supposedly critically important public institution. Why do this to the RBA? Why expose their shortcomings in public? Is it to discredit the RBA sufficiently so that the public will accept the planned solution of an even more centralised system of control?
