"Orders issued by health officials bypassed the authority of elected legislative bodies," the judge wrote.
“This case is about whether Missouri’s Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) regulations can abolish representative government in the creation of public health laws, and whether it can authorize closure of a school or assembly based on the unfettered opinion of an unelected official. My medical board actually had the cojones to assert several months ago that they have jurisdiction over my speech (context: my discussing vitamin D and ivermectin on Substack). My attorney and I responded, with different levels of politeness: The hell you can do that! The board is still threatening to cancel my medical license over speech. They are still unsuccessful over several attempts.
They seem to want to re-write the Constitution to exclude healthcare personnel from the protections of the Bill of Rights. They will not succeed.
