Since Pluto is the great revealer who transmutes the poison into a cure, catharsis, change, and accountability are at the core of this transit. As a result, we can expect to brace ourselves for civil unrest, conflicts, overhauls, over-throwings, and many crisis-oriented events that could have a domino effect on the rest of the world.

The whole point of a planet's 'return' in astrology, is that it is the same 'position' in relationship to celestial bodies as at the time of birth/founding /inception (it's "natal" chart).
To say "the last time this happened was July 4, 1776, the day of the founding of America," is simply to say this is the first 'return' of this planet (yes, I refuse to accept Pluto's demotion!) since its natal/birth/founding/inception was calculated. So I suppose an astrologer might say this is the US's first BIG stress test.
