Recently I took a short day trip into Amish country several counties away. I’m in Ohio USA. I was driving my old rough and trusty 55 year old Citroen DS and traveling the two-lane country roads. Suddenly I realized I left my iPhone at home. It was just me, an old car, some cash, and a tattered road map in the glovebox. After a moment of panic upon this realization, a wave of calmness –and joy– washed over me. I savored the wind, the hum of the old motor, the sights and sounds of farm country. The one word that repeatedly came to mind to describe this long lost feeling: that I was “autonomous.”
I was a bit shocked at the revelation.
For that day I was not at the command of a corporate mediated technology suite.
The insidious corporate techno–intermediary cages the human spirit imo. Their panopticon will smother spontaneity and creativity thru the conscious and subconscious awareness that our every move is being tracked. Our thoughts are tracked as well. And it is becoming painfully clear that thoughts and actions are increasingly molded to reflect the globalist desires. No good can come of this
I wonder if the lack of vehicles to purchase currently isn’t just a consequence of Covid, but also and maybe more importantly, the WEF’s plan to implement the shared economy, if there’s no cars to purchase, used or new, we are forced to “ride share.” Hmmm.

Not owning a car is only possible in big cities like NYC where there is ample possibility of taking tramway, bus, train, metro. In most smaller towns, there is nothing of the kind. We here in small town GA even lost our bus station some years ago, so if you have no car, you get nowhere ! Big places like Atlanta, Chicago, LA just to name a few, might have Uber. I don't see them conquering small town America. And the crowded countries in Europe of course. Go to Brussels there is nowhere to park a car !
AirBnB is disgusting! The fees are around 40% in addition to rent, and most hosts don't have a clue about equipping an apartment, I have to travel with my own water kettle, because even basic kitchen things are rarely provided. They leave their stuff in the house, but it's not usable. Total scam!
